So Patriotic!!

Mason had a singing program at school with all of the second graders. It was an "America my Country" theme. The funny thing is that I can remember learning all the same songs when I was in grade school, it brought back fun memories! He was really nervous though because on the day of the performance he came home from school feeling sick. We almost didn't go to the program but he was determined because he was to sing in a trio. He ended up feeling well enough to go and sing and he did an awesome job!! After the program was over, Mason told me that when he wasn't feeling well at home he said his prayers and asked for his stomach to stop hurting so he could go and sing. He said that his stomach ache went away and then he was feeling fine. I am so thankful for a son that knows that his Heavenly Father is there for him if all he has to do is ask and have Faith. He is so excited to be baptized this June, I am grateful for his sweet, fun Spirit he brings to our family.

This is his him singing part of "America The Beautiful"

The Best of Both Worlds.......

I didn't know that a 3 1/2 year old would like Hannah Montana so much, but mine does. Kind of crazy...I only thought that the older school girls were into her, not these little girls. It is actually really cute though. I think she started liking her because of all the disney shows that she watches with Mason. We were at the store a while back and she saw these Hannah jammies and had to have them, and then a few weeks later she was at Target with me and found this little Hannah microphone that plays her song " the best of both worlds" and Mady new the song and started singing away with it. There was only one BIG problem, the stupid thing didn't have an off switch, so for the first 3 days that is all we could hear around the house. At first it was cute to listen to her sing with it but then it started getting really annoying, in fact Mason (being the pest of an older brother) hid it in the laundryroom so she couldn't find it and she was so mad. I didn't know where it was and then a few days later I was doing laundry and found it, it was a nice break though. So, this is Mady's big breakthrough song, she just rocks out! She is so much fun to be around, I can't believe how fast they grow up.

All the way to QT and back.......

Mady was bugging Jesse all morning to take her to Quik Trip on the bikes. Yes, Mady loves going to QT with Dad, that is their thing, she gets a strawberry milkshake and she is so happy!! Well, she got her way and Jesse took her all the way to QT ( 2 miles round trip). I don't quite think she new exactly how far it was seeing how she insisted on riding her little princess bike the whole way all by herself. Well she did it the whole way with Jesse walking beside her. Stopping to take a sip on her milkshake and then moving on. It took them about 1 hour and 20 min.
Back home with her milkshake and all is well!

Almost home, Dad had to pull the bike while she walked a bit. Notice, she had her little backpack on and took her (play) cell phone with her. All the necessities!

A DAY AT THE ZOO

We went to the zoo with Dani and the boys. It was such a warm nice day, and the kids loved it.
Mady and Dallan did a little bonding together, since usually they are fighting or arguing about something. They held hands and were being good friends.

We met one of the zoo volunteers that drove around the coolest golf cart that was all decked out with a huge turtle on top and a big lizard on the front. The kids thought they could have a ride but the man said he couldn't give any rides.

I Love Dallan!!
Here he is chowing down on his lunch, just sitting there nice and quiet minding his own business. Dallan has the best appetite out of all the kids even though he is younger he weighs more than Spencer and Mady. My favorite part is there is more of him to love! He wore his little brown safari hat all day and WOULD NOT take it off, what a trooper!

Go Cardinals!!!

We have our very own Cardinals player living at our house, but this player doesn't play football. Yes, we are on to the winter season of basketball and the team name this time is the cardinals (chosen by the boys). Very fitting for this season of the Arizona Cardinals going to the Super Bowl. Good Luck Cardinals on both teams, basketball and football.

This video was a lucky one of Mason as he is going in for a basket and I actually got it on video. He scores YAH MASON!!!! Don't mind the background noise of me and the coaches wife screaming for our team. I think we are the loudest parents around. Good job Mason, that's my son!

Snaggle Tooth

Mason's new years goal is to grow in some new front teeth. He finally lost his front teeth. He was really late getting in his first baby teeth so naturally he will be later in losing his teeth, but the dentist said that's not a bad thing his teeth will probably be stronger and better. He would not let Jesse pull them out, and they were just hanging there so loose. Mason got the first one out and then the other one really looked funny because it shifted and was so crooked but he would not let us pull it out. He was a true snaggle tooth!

Then 2 days later he was eating spaghetti for dinner and out came his tooth. Hooray!! He has a hard time saying his S's. He is kind of embarassed but I think it is so cute.

Funny Story: Yesterday I had the back door open and a big bee flew inside the house. The kids were freaking out and I was trying to wack it with a towel but that was only making it worse and the bee was getting more mad. So it finally flew behind the blinds so I quickly shut them and hoped it would stay there and not get out and die. In the meantime Mason got out his nerf dart gun and thought he was going to kill it. Well, the bee didn't stay behind the blinds for long and it was flying around and landed on the window. Mason took his oportunity and began to shoot at it, I thought he could never kill a bee with a dart gun. Well I was wrong, his second shot hit the bee right on and killed it, guts and all, all over the window. Thanks Mason, those hunting skills might come in handy later when you need to go out and hunt for food.

Family Fun Night

A fun night out at the bowling alley. We went with the Henderson's and the kids to go bowling. The kids had a blast. I think some of the kids bowl better than the adults, they get the bumpers though so that makes it a little easier. Note: Mady's black eye was a product of her brother throwing around the broom outside and wacked her right in the eye with it. Aren't older brothers so much fun! She forgave him though.
