Mady's love for horses all started when her Uncle Larry gave her the movie "Flicka". She would watch it at least 4 times a day and would hum along with the music, it captured her attention for hours. She would ask Dad if he could buy her a black horse like Flicka and she said she would ride it and feed it and even let it sleep in her room. Then she realized she had her own horse right in her room, that she never even bothered to play with before all this started. I was ready to give it away because it was just taking up space. Good thing I didn't because then I really would've had to buy her a new horse.
About a month later good ole Uncle Larry came over with another movie, Black Stallion and Black Beauty. She watched both of them and loved them. In Black Beauty they braid the horses hair so Mady decided she was going to do her own version of braiding and put her sponge rollers in her horses hair.
She takes very good care of her horsey. She makes sure she has blankets for padding underneath the saddle and then used one of her dads belts as a saddle. She collected two pieces of rope and tied one for the reins and the other one is for "cactching horses" she says. Whenever we leave the house or at night time when we go to bed, she makes sure her horsey is tied around a drawer handle so it doesn't get away. She even will get a little bowl of water and spoon feed it to her horse.
We then had to get her the whole attire for a cowgirl. She wanted to look just like Katie in the Flicka movie, so we got her some boots and a red hat and she even has a denim vest to go with it.

Mady is so adorable!! We definitely need to plan a day for her and Mason to come over to my parents house so they can ride again. She would love that!
Madi looks like a cowgirl already! Now you know where the tomboy in her is leading :)I miss you guys!!!!!!!!!!!
